Newest OS for a MacBookPro3,1?

I have an old 15" MacBook Pro currently running 10.6.8. Whenever it runs the software update it says there aren't any updates. Is that the newest OS that this model will run? I saw some posts that it can be upgraded, but can't seem to find a way to get this one to do it.

Any thoughts? Thanks.
