Wifi radiation

If my phone is in low power mode in my pocket, with the wifi on, with a 2mm bumper case will it be safe to use? From what I read a few years ago, iPhones need 3mm distance from the skin to pass the radiation test.

Hi Limnos,

I always hold my phone on the tip of my ear when making phone calls. It’s the rest of the day that concerns me - walking around with the wifi constantly searching for connections causes more radiation. Any chance you know how that compares with the testing? I wish there was a way to turn on wifi automatically only at home and work/stop it turning on whenever I move.

Health effects of Wi-Fi

There are no health risks from exposure to radiofrequency EMF from Wi-Fi devices in your home, in schools or other areas accessible to the public.

I have treated patients with cancer for over thirty years as a board-certified radiation oncologist and I am familiar with every carcinogenic agent known to man. I'll tell you with absolute certainty that radio waves cannot harm you (unless perhaps you were in the path of a multi-megawatt microwave beam, in which case they might cook you. But as far as I know, there is no likelihood that this danger even exists).
