Unsupported Wacom due to Privacy

I work for an all Mac tech school and we have some major issues with using existing hardware in MacOS. Particularly we have dozens of Wacom tablets that are now e-waste due to what Wacom is calling "privacy settings" in MacOS.

In what way does an input device cause a privacy concern? Knowing the potential privacy concerns, can we circumvent or accept this risk on our own behalf so that we can continue to use these devices? I love Apple, but the "planned obsolescence" of products is beyond ridiculous.

System Preferences > Security & Privacy

Click the Privacy tab. Click the lock at lower left and enter the admin password. Go through each of the headings in left column and look for the Wacom software. One of them is under the Input Monitoring heading. Turn the check box on for each item you find related to Wacom.

When they're all checked, click the lock to close it and restart.
