Apple Watch 6 Battery Life for Trail Running
I got the Apple Watch 6 GPS + Cellular last year and I’m quite happy with it. For road running, I’ve had no issues. I can run for a couple of hours and still have enough battery life for the rest of my day. But, when I run on trails with some tall trees, the battery lasts only about 30mins! Ugh! This is an issue as it won’t record my whole run. I wonder if, because of the tree cover, it struggles to find a GPS signal and that just kills the battery very quickly (the course on my workout map seems to indicate a struggle with the GPS - see picture below)? Is there a way around this without having to shut off all kinds of other features? This only happens on trails.
