I have a MacBook Pro 13" 2020 latest iOS and when watching anything on Apple TV + on full screen, the screen goes blank but the audio plays. If I minimise the screen then the display returns and it can play normally. The problem only occurs as soon as I switch to full screen. I have tried the usual restart and still the same issue. Any suggestions?

We appreciate your time and thank you for partnering up with us to resolve this matter. Just to clarify, does this happen on every application that goes full screen or a specific one? Also are you playing any other application in the background that involves video? Finally, do you have any devices connected to your Mac? If so, when you disconnect them from your computer does the issue still remain?

Thanks for the reply I performed the NVRAM reset but unfortunately it did not solve the issue. The display is still going blank when maximised, I did forget to add that if I move the mouse the display will show, but disappears again as soon I stop moving the mouse. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the reply! It only occurs with the Apple TV app. All other streaming apps or video apps like VLC work fine, without any issue. I do not have any other applications open in the background that involves video. I have the apple keyboard and mouse connected, that's all. I disconnected both and no difference.

We can definitely understand your concern and are here to help. Just to clarify, have you tried restarting the Apple TV? Restarting, while simple can help resolve most minor issues. Also, do you have issues streaming video from your iOS device to the Apple TV? Finally, do you have any third party applications that allows to stream video to an external device installed on your Mac?

Thanks for the reply. Just for some clarification it's not actually the Apple TV box, it's the Apple TV App that I watch on my MacBook Pro, without any external devices installed or connected. No other streaming app has this issue, it's only Apple TV App for some reason.

Thanks for the recommendation, unfortunately this does not help with the issue. It looks like I will have to use the workaround of watching anything on the Apple TV app in a minimised screen.
