Hi,
When I load pages it comes up with the home screen, when I click continue or try to load a document it closes and produces an error report. Same with numbers.
I have tried restarting, deleting and re downloading and still no joy.

Please help! I use this for work and now am unable to do so!

You simply need to update macOS to the latest version, currently Big Sur 11.4.
You can do that at System Preferences > Software Update.
Also make sure you are running the latest Pages, current 11.1. You can update that if necessary in the Mac App Store.
