Apple external display with MBP 2019

Hello,

I've read a lot about this issue -- the 2019 MacBook Pro 16" overheating when connected to an external display. There seem to be many "workarounds" that are hit or miss, I've tried them all. Does this problem occur with all external displays, or would purchasing an Apple monitor fix the issue?

Have you had a chance to test if this persists when using a different cable to connect the two devices? Does the behavior continue?
