Apple Office Programs Wont Open / Keep Crashing

Pages, Numbers and Keynote wont open. They are all up to date and this only happens on the brand new MacBook Pro with the apple chip. I click to open a program, it brings up a list of files and then immediately crashes.

Any idea whats going on?

HI vloforti,

This has been a frequemntly reported issue over the past few days.

Your new Mac likely came with macOS 11.2 installed (the current OS version on its date of manufacture).

Fortunately, the cure is fairly simple. Update your macOS to the current version of Big Sur, 11.4.

You may also want to update the iWork applications, Pages, Numbers and Keynote to their most recent versions, 11.1 at this writing if that's not already done.

The OS update id done through System Preferences > Software Update.

The application updates are done through the App store.

Regards,

Barry

Hi 123_trx

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. You seem tohave taken a wrong turn somewhere. This is the Numbers for Mac community, where the topic of discussion is issues and techniques involving the Mac version of Apples spreadsheet application Numbers.

Your question seems totally off topic in this community.

Please re-post as a new question, NOT as a reply to a question completely unrelated to yours in a more appropriate community within Apple Support Communities, where you are more likely to get a useful answer.

Apple TV app and to a lesser extent, Apple TV hardware come to mind.

Barry
