Can you customise content restrictions on kid's devices?

Hi

I've got screen time and content restrictions set up on my kids devices. I've got the app restrictions set to 12+, but there are a couple of apps they want to use that are rated 17+ (specifically YouTube and Wattpad). Is there any way to allow those individual apps while retaining the restriction for other apps? Or do I have to set the restrictions to 17+ for all apps?

I'm not hopeful, but if anyone has any ideas I'd be very grateful.

Hello duncanp73,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support communities. We understand that you are wanting to allow access to apps that have a content setting for the ages of 17+ but the restrictions are set to 12+. We would love to provide you support on this.

When you sett a restriction using screen time and content restrictions to download or allow access to anything that is outside of that restriction you would have to change allowed content restrictions.

Therefore downloading a 17+ content restricted application on a 12+ restricted content account will not complete. You will need to change the allowed restriction content setting.
