Java-based Software
I use a genealogy program called rootsTrust that is written in Java. To use it on my M1 MacBook Air, I'm told that I need to install Rosetta. Don't need to do this on my 2020 Intel iMac. At this point, I have other options (native Mac OS genealogy software programs) that can be used other than rootsTrust (but I do like that software).
- Am I asking for problems by using Java programs? If so, what?
- What about Rosetta? Good idea to install? Potential problems?
