to check on the battery, plug it into the lightning port and swipe your home screen. It should show up there. Do not let it go below about 30% to be safe.
I think it is a law that each reply has to be longer than the last one. 😊
But I did have the same thought and I'm going to give you a helpful. I have noticed with the pandemic waning people still seem to have a lot of time on their hands and posts tend to average 4.8 responses from Lounge members. I had completely forgotten about the 9.7" iPad Pro, mine is an 11 and I was just thinking about the USB-C connector because I was recently helping someone with an 8th generation iPad and Gen. 1 pencil I gave them. Maybe LotusPilot didn't recognize the kb article by its number?
I knew it because I have both the 9.7 (and a gen 1 pencil) and the 11" with a gen 2 pencil. FWIW, they are both heavily UNDER-used, LOL.
And thanks; but no, that is a regular feature. My answers tend to be to the point - I have found that people do not care to read long explanations. So I appear to attract the need for long explanations.
Thank you all for your responses to my inquiry. However, after spending quite some time online with an Apple customer service representative, it has been determined that perhaps the pencil itself has a defect. In other words, through various methods it should have paired with my iPadPro. The upshot is that it remains for me decide whether or not to take the pencil to an authorized Apple service place to look into further.
If you bought it from Apple less than 14 days ago, you can return it for a refund. Otherwise, have Apple check it. There is a one year warranty on it. Be sure to have your receipt handy just in case.
Can’t answer your question on the battery but you cannot pair it with an iPad Pro.

Yeah, well, there is "short" and "too short"........
I go for "Yes" and "No" for yes and no answers. And you are questioning Niel? No helpful this time.
