I keep getting this - You can’t open the application “Final Cut Pro” because this application is not supported on this Mac.
I have a new M1 MacBook Pro. It opens on my other MacBook Pro M1

You need FCP 10.4.10 or later.
You need to get the latest version of FCP.
Open the App Store, and look for it in the Updates section.
EDIT: wait... on the other M1 mac, you say?
Can you confirm what version of FCP you have?
On the computer that is having the trouble, can you go to Apple Menu > About this Mac and take a screen shot of the info and post it here (like this example below) - make sure not to show your serial number:

I had the latest version. I ended up deleting the app, and re downloading it and motion. Neither would work, even when I went to the App Store and tried to open it directly from there, to ensure I had the latest copy!!
