contacts being auto shared

My contacts are going to my wife's phone. We do not share an icloud or itunes account.

She has her own icloud and her phone backs up fine.

This happened once before and she had to manually delete all of the ones that were not her's... a painful task and now contacts show up again. Both phones are on one Verizon account, if that matters.

You mentioned that you don't share an iCloud account, but do you share any other third-party accounts? You can see more about using other contact accounts on your iPhone here.
