How exactly does the family sharing plan work? Will each have independent storage for their device? Can device A see what device B has in their storage allocation?
Each person's storage is under their own Apple ID and is private. There is a single billing and each person in the plan can use as much of the total storage as is available (not already used). See information in Share an iCloud storage plan with your family - Apple Support including:
