Whoah! Did that just happen to the phone? I believe the battery expanded,in which case you’d have to replace the battery. But you’d have to have the phone put back together after that. it looks pretty messed up, so I’d recommend a new one. But if you want to repair it, let a professional do it. You could hurt yourself, and your phone, if you try to do it yourself. https://www.apple.com/iphone/. That iPhone is very outdated,so it’s best if you get a newer one soon.

Nobody, certainly not anyone credible will attempt to repair or put that phone back together. It's destroyed beyond being fixable. That phone was release now about a decade ago. It can't run any modern iOS version, is no longer supported and most modern Apps can't run on it. It is considered an obsolete phone.
Your phone is very old, the battery swelled and the phone is destroyed. Do no attempt to do anything with the phone. Instead, recycle it responsibly. An Apple Store or Best Buy for example will dispose of it properly.
Please do not delay in handling this is a safe fashion.Due to the components in these batteries it could be dangerous.Follow the directions in other post to properly dispose so you or others are not at risk Be safe.

Some goofy people would. I understand that it’s pretty far beyond repair. But it is possible.
