RAM on M1 Mac Mini

Hi, I’m Jonathan and I’m planning on buying a M1 Mac Mini.

I only don’t know if I should get the 8GB or 16GB version.

The most intensive task I will use is Final Cut.

Does anyone have anything to recommend?

M1 MacbookPro memory I am going to purchase a M1 MacBook Pro 13" Some of the advertising verbiage indicates that the 8gb of ram and 8gb of graphic ram will be used for data. So does this mean 8gb is really 16 or do I need to upgrade to 16gb. I do not do videos or photo editing but work with excel and powerpoint a lot. the 2015 MacBook pro I have has 8gb ram in it and I am always slowing down about to run out of memory. What is best suggested route. Thank you.

Change memory yourself from 8-16 on the new M1 Chip MacBook Air ? Can you change the RAM memory yourself from 8-16 on the new M1 Chip MacBook Air ? I would like to get one this week but they are shipping with 8 GB RAM. Can I upgrade myself to 16 later? Thanks.

Buy the most you can afford. You can’t change it after.

Don’t skimp on the drive space either; although you can always add an external drive after the fact.
