Macbook pro taking forever to charge

Hi ! I just bought a brand new Macbook pro M1 chip a month ago and it was running quite well and today suddenly when i put it on charge i saw that it’s like not charging but then i put it on sleep and waited for 45 mins it just charged 1% idk what’s happening can anyone plz help?

If it takes longer than 2.5-3 hours to charge the battery there is a problem that you should likely raise with Apple while its still under warranty. A lengthy Spotlight index really only happens if you have a lot of data on the disk. It's less of an issue with SSD's as it was with HDD's.


Disconnect all cables, shutdown fully. Wait at least a couple minutes. Replug the USB-C cable on the AC charger. Try a different USB-C port on the Mac and a different power outlet. If it takes longer than 3 hours to charge 100%. Contact Apple as there is something wrong.
