How do I install Final Cut Pro on a mid 2012 Mac Pro running macOS High Sierra?

You need to purchase, using your Apple id, on a mac running Catalina or Big Sur. Then you open the App Store in your High Sierra mac, click Purchased and then click Download. You’ll be warned that the current version is not compatible and asked if you want the most recent version that works in your mac (that is perhaps 10.4 or thereabouts).

Is this still accurate? I know I was able to use this trick for other things in past, but for Final Cut Pro it just shows "Open" instead of "Download" and leads nowhere when clicked.
Never mind, figured it out. Had to move it to the trash on the other drive running Catalina.
