Data migration with OWC enclosure to new Macbook Air

My 2013 Macbook Air died so I purchased a new one. Unfortunately, I didn't have a Time Capsule backup to migrate everything to the new machine. iCloud restored some critical files but there are others on my old SSD that I'd like to retrieve.

I'm looking at buying the OWC Envoy Pro to install my old SSD into in hopes of transferring them to my new machine.

Does anybody know if I will be able to view the old drive on my new Macbook Air and copy directories or files independently? Not sure if it will be viewable in "Finder" and just drag and drop to my new drive.

I'm hoping someone else has experienced this and succeeded with the same issue.

Thanks.

As long as the drive itself is still good and you have the

correct enclosure for it is will work, as long as you did

not enable FileVault which encrypts the drive.
