Extremely HIGH (700%+) CPU usage in video calls and games

I have a big issue: my MacBook PRO 16 2019 uses a lot of CPU (700%+) during video calls (meet, slack, etc).

"Reset SMC" doesn't work.

I’m still here, sorry! This topic got lost in my list of active discussions.

Kernel task is a process that deals with CPU temperature. I find it helps to either unplug my Mac or charge on the left side instead.

I find that window server CPU usage can often be reduced by running apps in full screen. You can also search for “reduce transparency” in system preferences and turn that on. Though keep in mind that it can make macOS appear a little different than you’re used to.

For most other processes, the best thing you can do is avoid having too many apps open all at once. You can also reduce CPU usage by using safari instead of chrome/firefox, etc.

Using or not full-screen doesn't affect anything.

Google meet and slack don't use transparency and I don't want to reduce my comfort from using macOS because it's not my fault that it uses a lot of CPU in such simple tasks as video calls. It's definitely Apple's fail.

And it happens with 1 app (safari) and 1 tap (meet) too.

I know that some other people face it too like my friend and don't understand why Apple is silent.
