after i restore my iphone 7 plus the passcode changed from 6 digit to 4 digit

Hi

i am a first time iphone user. I update my phone from IOS 14.5 to IOS 14.6 and after that i feel my phone runs slow so i restore my phone and once i restore my phone shows the activation lock screen which requires the AppleID and Password and i stunned there what is that i buy the used phone so i did't have the Apple ID nor Password but i have the Passcode so when i choose the Unlock with the Passcode i used to unlock phone with 6 digit lock but after the restoring in the Unlock with the Passcode tab i only see the option to put the 4 digit passcode and i try to put my 6 digit passcode maybe 4 digit out of it will work in 4 digit passcode but it did't and now i am stuck on the activation lock screen where nor i cannot enter the 6 digit passcode to activate my phone nor i can restore the iphone so i am able to use it with the IOS 14.5.

Kindly Help

Thanks

It seems the primary issue here is not a 4 or 6 digit passcode but that the phone now has activation lock active on it.

'Activation Lock for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch' is a security feature that's designed to prevent anyone else from using an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, if it's ever lost or stolen. To learn more click here --> http://support.apple.com/HT201365

For an individual to remove an activation lock absolutely requires the information for the account that applied the lock. Click on this link to learn 'How to remove Activation Lock' --> https://support.apple.com/HT201441

If you do not know the required information and you are not the original owner, get the owner of the account to remove the lock or return the device for a refund or recycle it. The device is otherwise useless to you. If the owner is unknown and has not provided contact information as a message showing in the login screen, there is no way to contact the owner.
