Hello Rajesh_,

We understand that your iPhone powered off due to needing to be charged and when that happened, your FaceTime call history was not saved. Do we have that right?

Does this happen with incoming calls, outgoing calls or both? Do other FaceTime calls save in the history OK? If you have other Apple devices, such as a Mac or iPad, do you see that history in the FaceTime app on those devices?

Thanks.

Rajesh_,

The FaceTime app is one that can be deleted and reinstalled. Let's do that. You'll be able to reinstall it from the App Store. This way we can be sure we have a clean install of the app, since that's the only place you're noticing this issue. After reinstalling, please participate in a FaceTime call and test the orientation. We understand the situation can be intermittent, so it may take a couple calls to see if it is resolved.

Delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Thanks.

hi,

yes, this happens with FaceTime incoming video call for mentioned scenario.

I use this on my iPhone only.

one more issue that if I change phone orientation from portrait to landscape, display is getting changed as per orientation scheme but, on same call if changing device orientation gain to portrait it’s not coming back to normal as per expected portrait image and shiny as cut portion from that same landscape orientation..

thanks..

Rajesh_,

This is going to be a tricky situation to troubleshoot as it only occurs when your device needs to be charged. Since the call didn’t complete and your iPhone powered off, it might be that your iPhone won’t save that data. Let’s keep working on it.

No need to send a screenshot, but we appreciate the offer.

Does the issue with orientation happen on all FaceTime calls? Do you notice a similar issue in other apps with the orientation? If you end the FaceTime call that’s stuck in landscape, does the orientation change back right away?

Thank you.

Hi AnnieL2,

thanks for your response.

FaceTime Video call orientation issue observed on lat 3-4 calls…

When changing device orientation, video orientation is also getting changed but showing from right bottom corner as cropped and fitting to that area portrait area only, resulting almost left half actual display cut.
