The ringtone volume on my iphone SE has become very quiet.
The phone is only about 18 months old.
I have the slider on maximum volume and have tried with the button control switched on and off, but nothing will make the tone louder.
The phone is fully charged and yes I have tried alternative ringtones.
Does anyone know of a solution, please?

Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics
Do you have Change with Buttons turned on?
If you do, turn it off there
Then adjust the slider higher if you want the ringtone louder and see if that helps.
You can also open Control Center by swiping down from the top right hand corner of the iPhone screen and adjust volume there.

OK thank you for those thoughts.
I had already checked those things and it made no difference.
But a friend has suggested that the audio levels may have been affected by the recent software update and told me to switch off the phone and re-start it.
I should have thought of that myself because that was exactly the solution and I now have normal volume again.
