Thanks for reaching out through the Apple Support Communities about adjusting how distance is displayed in the Life360 app.
Per the Life360 FAQ:
“Your phone will display miles or kilometers based on the phone language and region settings. Currently, only the US and UK display miles.
If your device is displaying something other than what is expected, check the language and region settings in your device.”

Should you have any further questions about the Life360 app, you should be able to use the “Contact us” option via the link above to get further assistance from them. They would be in the best position to help with adjusting or troubleshooting their particular app.
