What is the process app.prende.tv

What is the process "https://app.prende.tv" that appears in my activity monitor. It is consuming ~10% of my CPU. Not sure what this is or if I need it but I am unable to find it on my MacBook Pro. I tried to kill the process but I keeps coming back. Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks for the thorough response

No Profiles listed except for iMovies
Socks Proxy not enabled

I ran malwarebytes. It found 0 threats detected, 0 PUPs detected.

I would delete this profile and test.

Not sure how that would have been started. That web site was definitely not running on one of the safari tabs since I killed Safari and it was still in the process listing. It is still in my process listing and this is the only tab open right now.

I you suspect you have installed adware/malware:

>System Preferences>Profiles click into it and then remove all the suspicious things from the list. (This Preference pane will not be present if no profiles found.)

also Verify you are not using SOCKS proxy:

>System Preferences>Networks>Advanced>Proxy   uncheck the box

Adware/malware launch daemons can set SOCKS proxies without user participation.

(SOCKS is an Internet protocol that exchanges network packets between a client and server through a proxy server.)
