Recovering deleted texts Without restoring phone only the texts

I see that the answer to recovering deleted texts is by pressing the restore button on your phone but I can't press restore or it will bring back all the guys stuff I bought the phone from it will take away all my apps an new stuff I was told pressing that button will make phone go back to how it originally was and I can't have that I just only need to restore one persons texts messages its very important I have evidence I need about this person in their texts to me an they got into my phone an deleted all their texts I had of evidence on them please help me I don't no wut to do but I really really need help getting them back without messing up anything else on my phone
