Does the iPhone 12 Pro only film in Dolby Vision quality?

I am thinking of buying Iphone 12 Pro. Photo and video quality is very important for me. I have done a bit of research on dolby vision. According to the reviews, even though you can film in dolby vision, none of the social media apps nor YT have the capacity to upload dolby vision videos yet. So you need to downgrade them when you are uploading. I wanted to see if this is still the case. I can only find reviews from October 2020. I am hoping since then this issue has been resolved.
