Purchase from Costco vs Apple

Should be no difference. Support would be directly from Apple under warranty or Apple Care+ wether you buy from Apple or Costco. Costco may offer some add on warranty in Store however.

Setup should be identical.

And, Apple has a 14 day return policy (if you don't like it or whatever) if you buy directly from them. Costco would have their own policy - so you best check it.
