this is not working: Connect your device to your computer while holding the Top button. Keep holding the Top button until you see the recovery mode screen.


my iPad opens to the homescreen displaying the error message 'iPad is disabled, connect to iTunes'. I can't access the recovery mode screen.

iPad Air 2, iPadOS 14

The instructions "this is not working: Connect your device to your computer while holding the Top button. Keep holding the Top button until you see the recovery mode screen." are for an iPad that has Face ID. The iPad Air 2 does not.

Then connect your iPad to your computer while holding the Home button. Keep holding the Home button until you see the recovery mode screen.
