How to factory reset iPhone X with broken screen?

my iPhone X got water damaged and now only the bottom half of my phone doesn’t work. I tried the find my phone trick to erase the data but it says the iPhone X must be connected to the internet to proceed but I can’t get onto the iPhone to connect it.

If you can’t access your phone, then you can’t erase it. You will have to get your screen replaced but that may not help if there is internal damage done from the water damage. Get an appointment at an Apple Store to see if there is anything they can do.
