Smart playlist for all of an artist's music

I am subscribed to Apple Music and am trying to create a smart playlist for ALL of an artist's music. However, when I create one, only 6 songs are shown in the playlist, though the artist has close to 100 available on Apple Music. I'm not sure why this is. Does a smart playlist only work with music I've actually downloaded to my Mac?
