What can I do to get an activation lock off of a phone when the previous owner I bought it from passed away before I could get them to remove the account and stuff.

I did a screen shot showing where I had purchased it online and they are saying there’s nothing they can do.
I bought a phone that’s activation locked and the other owner is deceased now.
