WindowServer high CPU usage

Hi everybody,

I've been having issues with WindowServer for a couple of months now; it just starts using insane amounts of CPU out of nowhere, the fan goes off and everything obviously starts to slow down.

I have a 2018 MacBook Air, with a 1,6 GHz Intel Core i5 Dual-core Processor, and 8 GB ram. The OS is Big Sur 11.4. I have an HDMI adapter and the Mac is connected to an LG TV that I use as a monitor.

I already decreased transparency in the "Monitor" Accessibility settings, but it didn't change much. WindowServer CPU usage just skyrockets at some point. There isn't a specific app that makes it go crazy, it just happens out of the blue.

Any ideas on how to fix it? It really bothers me and today I even had to shut it down and restart it while working. It's really annoying.
