Installing putty

hello, I have been trying yo install putty on my Mac but the rsync server is not connecting

here is the error:

CoolTerm is a terminal app that I use that has a look and feel

much like the Windows version of PUTTY and is Mac native.

It is "donation ware" and is free to use and you can donate

a few bucks to the developer if you like it.

The app is also universal, i.e. supports both Intel and M1 Macs.

And avoids all the hassles of MacPorts.

You will have to report that to MacPorts.

In any case, putty is a Windows tool. You don’t need it in a Mac. Just use ssh, which putty was designed to mimic. Unfortunately, MacPorts may have already broken your basic Terminal tools like ssh. That is all too common with these “ports” tools.
