The first link you attached does not work.
Sorry. The forum software is buggy right now. It was supposed to format the link like this: IOS 14.5 and iPassword app developer upda… - Apple Community
I must confess I found the second paragraph a little insulting. I have used this app for probably 12+ years. So not finding random apps and throwing my info around. I think you are suggesting that I gave them my info to store. As a user and not a developer I thought I was purchasing an app that I use on my phone that is a while to conveniently and safely store my passwords.
Unfortunately, people do sometimes get upset with these kinds of after-the-fact replies. There is actually nothing I can do to help once your data is gone for whatever reason. Maybe the instructions in that other thread will work, maybe not. Fair warning - they aren't easy. And you might actually have to purchase another device - an older one that hasn't been updated. Should I simply refrain from replying? Are you going to be even more angry with me for leading you to additional 3rd party software and complicated, 15-step instructions?
I can't go back in time and fix things. All I can do is give you instructions on how to prevent this from happening in the future. But to be clear - you did find a random app and gave them all of your passwords for 12 years. I don't even know which app this was - and probably neither do you. App with generic names like "iAccounts" and "iPassword" come and go. Plus, there are always copycat apps like "iAccounts - Safe and Secure" and "iPassword - Secure Password Management". These could all be different apps made by different people.
When I tell you that you need to cut your losses and change your passwords, I'm not kidding.
Anyways, none of this helps me retrieve my info as Apple has now released an update that ends my usage of this app.
It is normal for operating system updates to be incompatible with older apps. This has been a regular occurrence with each update.
