HDMI stopped working on a Mac mini dual screens

Hey guys, I have a Mac mini with two screens. One is with the HDMI port and the other one is with a HDMI/USB-C adaptor. It worked for a few weeks with dual screens and suddenly, the HDMI port stopped working. I have changed the cable, tested every possibilities around and yes the monitor connected with the HDMI port is working fine with the HDMI/USB-C adaptor as well. I've been searching over the net and couldn't find answers to fix it.

Is there anyone out here with a solution?

If the HDMI port is dead, can I buy an other HDMI/USB-C adaptor to connect the 2nd screen?

Thanks! Merci!

Dan

What model is this Mac Mini?

The 2020 M1 model only supports 1 display on it's USB-C ports.

The 2018/2020 Intel model supports 2 displays staggered on it's USB-C ports.

As for the none working HDMI port?

I would first try a Premium Certified HDMI cable.

I've purchased the Belkin adaptor and it didn't work unfortunately. I have tried all combination with the Bus 1 and Bus 2 as suggested, no luck..

It's the kids computer and it does not have much in it. I have a 5T external storage drive plugged in. So I have a Time Machine running for this computer.

Should I try a full reset?
