Ghost Alarm - lifehack fix

I recently got an iPhone XR. After transferring all of my data from an iPhone 6s, old alarms from the iPhone 6s keeps going off on the iPhone 7. I have deleted all alarms from both the new phone but still the alarm goes off each day. I have tried forcing the clock app to close and restarting the phone but it’s still going off at 9 am and 10:30 pm each day. It’s not a bedtime alarm and doesn’t show up under my list of alarms. When the alarm goes off and I open it, it isn’t on the list then either. I looked at these threads, but I did not want to have to reset my new iphone to factory settings and reset it all up.

Finally I figured out a lifehack: I set alarms for 9 am and 10:30 pm each day with the alarm sound as "none." Somehow this overrides the ghost alarms. I hope this helps someone.
