1080p blurry resolution on external monitor

Hi,

I have a MacBook Pro 2019, it’s not able to handle the resolution of 1080p, it’s extremely blurry.

I made sure to buy an external adapter to support this resolution, approved by Apple, it’s an Anker 5 in 1 USB adapter 1H2H1S1M.

I’m using HDMI and the cable is able to handle 4K on another monitor without problems.

I’m on Catalina latest version.

Any solution?

I tried to remove the smooth effect, no positive result.

I had another certified adapter, no way.

Is it possible that in 2 years Apple didn’t fix this? I mean, the resolution is supposed to be supported, you also release or certify the specific adapter, waiting for info.

Try these steps if the image on an external display connected to your Mac is blank or doesn't look the way you expect.

Thanks, but it’s the same, I tried many times in 2 years but no clue, now I need to fix it, but I’d like to avoid buying a 4K monitor simply for this reason…

Also previous MacBook Pro have the same issue, what I discovered is the following: if it’s not at least 2K, it doesn’t work…
