Why aren't the same texts showing up on my phone and my mac?

My messages don't sync completely on my macbook and my phone. They used to be identical on the computer and my phone. I've made sure that I'm logged in to the same apple ID on all devices and followed all the continuity suggestions. Any ideas?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.4

on iPhone go to system preferences then messages and if you have shown text message forwarding make sure your exact Mac is turned on there.
