New Series 6 Watch will not connect to 5Ghz connection at home only 2.4 connection. Phone and ipad connect with no problems but not the watch.
Tried :
Re-pairing
forgetting the network
updating the software
resetting the sync
turning the watch on and off.
All get the same response "Unable to join network (network name)".
Any thoughts here?

How close are you to your router and what band is your iPhone connected to?

Since you still are not able to connect to the network with your Series 6 Watch, we'd recommend that you contact Apple Support directly through Contact Apple Support.

iPhone XR is connected to 5ghz signal at home and the router is about 20 feet from me.
Yea, I had a talk with support over chat. Honestly, not the best. Lots of sending me to support docs, but no actual resolutions.
