Magic keyboard escape key is useless?

Ipad Pro Magic Keyboard escape key cannot function. Unable to exit full screen from Youtube Screen. So what is the function of the escape key?

My 2020 12.9 iPad locked up when I paired it with a 2018 full-size magic keyboard. The accessibility menu blocks me from logging in or shutting down. How do I get out of this trap? How to remove black box when (Tab) key is pressed Understand as part of full keyboard access, but whenever I press the tab key, a black box will appear and surround the column or row. Is there anyway to turn off the “black box” or make it disappear? I’ve checked my settings and both zoom and voiceover are not turned on. It’s not a big issue per say but its just driving me crazy in terms of how I want to use the iPad. My current configuration is a iPad Pro (2020) + Magic Keyboard
