Migration Assistant: High Sierra source drive, Big Sur target drive

I have a new M1 Mac Mini on the way.

My plan is to use Migration Assistant to populate the new Mac Mini running Big Sur from a Time Machine backup of my current iMac which is running High Sierra. Should I expect any problems using MA to transfer from the old OS to the new?

thanks in advance for any tips or guidance

iMac, macOS 10.12

Using your Time Machine backup drive is best.

Migration moves your user data into the new macOS.

Only 64bit macOS and third party App's will run in macOS Big Sur.
