icons in my mail tool bar are suddenly grayed out

My trash bin icon in mail tool bar is "gray" and not usable suddenly.

I can only delete mail with the "delete key on my keyboard and I tried to customer the toolbar to drag it back but that won't work either

iMac 27″, macOS 11.4

Working before, searched apple, google, and preference panes, (removed) rebuilt mail boxes, start, and restart several times. Smaller Bigger for example used to show as icons, basically no icons are showing as before only small light print at top of the mail app. Like to get back to icons. Thank you.

why does my side bar keep disappearing It will be there when I log into Mail but after using it for awhile it disappears. I have to go to View and select show sidebar a few times a day.

Missing mail icons My check mail and compose mail icons are missing from my mail toolbar. I went to toolbar under view to add them and they are not there either.
