Hi!
I have the ipad 12.9 2020 and the magic keyboard for 10 months now but already after 2 months I’ve had this problem. Whenever I use word documents and I close the app, my cursor on the screen seems to be stuck. Sometimes after a few seconds it’s over but sometimes even when I disconnect the screen and keyboard it doesn’t go away and then I just have to wait.
Does somebody else have this problem or know what the problem is?

Does this happen in Pages?
Have you restarted the iPad recently?
If it's only happening in Word, we'd advise following these steps: If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open.
You may eventually need to contact Microsoft.
