My charger doesn't have the "designed by apple" on the cord but has everything else, is it fake?

Hello jahmai15,
We understand that you have some concerns that your charger is not certified after reviewing the following: Identify counterfeit or uncertified Lightning connector accessories
Without being able to physically inspect it, we can't say for certain. So a store would be the best option if you'd like to have someone inspect your charger. You can find stores by visiting Apple's store locator page.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities!
Hello, this week I purchased a Lighting to USB cable directly from Apple website. This article says that:
"An Apple Lightning to USB cable has "Designed by Apple in California" and either "Assembled in China," "Assembled in Vietnam," or "Indústria Brasileira" on the cable about seven inches from the USB connector. You'll see a 12-digit serial number at the end of this text."
My cable does not have any text on it. Also the packaging does not have the "Made for iPhone" logos shown in the article (maybe because this cable is 'Made by' Apple?). However, the other characteristics that help identify the cable as authentic seem to be present.
As I brought the cable directly from Apple I really hope its genuine? And maybe this September 2019 article needs updating?
Regards, Charlotte
