Apple Watch

I just recently re-charged my apple watch after not using it for a year or so and it keeps coming up with the message “wrong passcode open the apple watch app on you iPhone, go to Passcode, then tap are-enable Passcode entry to try again.” When I go to the app my watch isn’t even paired on there anymore so there’s no way to enable the Passcode entry. I went and took the apple watch off my Apple Id account so i could re-pair it but it’s not even re-pairing anymore. Any suggestions on what I should do. Is there anyway to reset my watch? I never typed in my Passcode so I don’t even know why the wrong passcode message keeps coming up. Please advise!
