How much does a new screen cost then , I have a cracked screen on my second generation SE iPhone and an appointment today at a Genius Bar , if it’s not covered by the guarantee how much will a new screen be ?

No, accidental damage is not covered by Apple warranty. You can pay to have the screen replaced at an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to get an authentic Apple screen.
