Spam Email from to update the information

Hi,

I received an Email from 'Apple" a spam email that asked me to update my information. I updated 2 personal pages like my name, age, address, however didn't give any card detail when they asked. then my friend said it's spam. I changed my password and removed apple pay at the same time. kindly advice me on how to protect my account details and tell me if this will affect my bank account.

Hello thulara,

From your post you've told us you have a great friend that stopped you from responding entirely to a phishing email. You want to make sure your information is secure.

First, make sure to thank your friend!

Next, check this out: If you think your Apple ID has been compromised This guide is like a one-stop-shop for the information you'll need to check. If you haven't already, we'd suggest signing up for two-factor authentication. There is a link to help you with this process under "Gain control of your Apple ID" step 5.

We hope this helps answer your concerns!
