Mic and Speaker Not Working on Iphone 7 Plus

My microphone is not working on my iPhone 7. I have checked through the settings to make sure that my microphone is on, but my voice is not being picked up on any apps (camera, snapchat, facebook, etc.). Furthermore, my speaker does in fact work when I am watching youtube videos or listening to music but does not work when I call someone. I cannot hear the caller at all and they cannot hear me. I also cannot activate speaker mode when I am in a call with someone. How do I fix this issue, or what is a plausible cause for this issue?

Hi genani,

We understand that the microphone on your iPhone 7 is not working. Are you able to record a voice memo? Which iOS version is the device running? If an update is needed, let's go ahead and do that now: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
