volume issues on Facetime

I was having volume issues in my iPad 7th generation iPad in that my contact was able to hear me, I couldn’t hear them. I checked the volume control on my slider in the control centre and it was turned right up. I just solved the issue today after months of frustration. The volume control button on the side of my iPad was turned right down! Oddly enough, I had volume for videos, YouTube, movies, etc., but not on FaceTime or Zoom. My volume buttons do not work in tandem with the slide in the control center! Now that I have turned the volume up using the side buttons….success…the issues with FaceTime & Zoom have been resolved. I hope this might help someone else who might be having the same problems!
